I have been "lurking" on this site for a couple of months and it has been extremely helpful in narrowing my search for a new compact tractor. Now I will begin to take a more active role on the Forum. I would like everyone's input on my final choices. I have a quote for a JD 4610 w/460 FEL, eHydro, 4WD, mid-PTO, dual mid and rear hydraulics, iMatch, rear wheel weights, rear light and warning light brush guards for $25,225 +tax. I have a quote on a NH TC45D similarly equipped (but no mid-PTO or iMatch)for $24,339 + tax. I like both and have test driven both. My real question is are these quotes reasonable or do I have a chance to get them lower? Also, in comparison, I thought the JD quote would be a lot higher relative to the NH. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I will use the tractor on 16 acres of land with about 3 acres of lawn and the rest in forest. I will be clearing, putting in an 800' driveway, plowing (NW PA snow belt), stumping, grading, logging, etc., etc. Thanks and sorry for long initial message!

I have a JD4600 Hydro with 460FEL and JD48 Backhoe. I am amazed at what this tractor can do. The backhoe is mounted so that it becomes an integral part of the tractor. I have approx. 125 hours on my unit and it has been wonderful. Personally, I would go with the JD for the extra mid PTO and the iMatch hitch system. I would consider the JD48 hoe also. I have used a Woods and there is no comparison. This thing is awesome. ....
